Commercial Contract Analyst

Based in West London and hybrid working 2-3 days in the office, MRK are pleased to be working with this incredibly well-known and prominent international business for the recruitment of a Commercial Contract Analyst on a permanent basis.

This job would suit a strong analyst with good communication skills to be responsible for negotiating and implementing optimised commercial agreements with industry partners worldwide through effective analysis and commercial rationale.

This job will require an excellent analyst to use the data available to assess what commercial opportunities and partnerships make sense for the business and follow this through to negotiate commercial agreements with other businesses.

The successful individual will have excellent analytical ability to evaluate and choose from a number of complex options using advanced Excel and any knowledge of SQL would be advantageous but not essential. The negotiations with commercial partners will require excellent communication skills and a level of self-confidence and influencing skills in order to communicate complex ideas, requirements and issues clearly. You will be working as part of a team that own regions around the world so you will have support and should be comfortable working in a team environment.

Job responsibilities:

* Initiate evaluation of market data to seek new opportunities and create change in existing relationships with other competitors
* Negotiate commercial agreements – Negotiate and manage partner contracts and “Revenue Share” Agreements, ensuring that they are concluded to deliver the best possible benefit and are consistent with competition law
* Promote understanding within Revenue Management and Sales of the effective use of Revenue Share Agreements in developing selling opportunities withinin markets, including giving specific training with the objective of maximising the benefit
* Determine, advise and enforce Company policy with regard to all aspects of the commercial relationship with all competitors worldwide, using detailed knowledge of industry agreements and standards, competition law, and company processes in the areas of revenue management (both pricing and yield management), sales and revenue accounting
* Determine and implement new commercial agreements to assist customers during times of operational disruption
* Negotiate inter-market policies – Participate in the joint development of inter-market policy with alliance partners, whilst complying with competition law
