Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire our instantly recognisable client are looking for a Lead BI Analyst to join their busy team on a permanent basis. This will be a hybrid working role with 2 days required in the office per week.
This job would suit an experienced BI Analyst wanting to act as the primary support for business intelligence within the Marketing team being responsible for understanding challenges, requirements and needs in the department and finding solutions above and beyond what is needed.

As a senior hire in a brand new team, we’re looking for somebody who can not just lead the way, but who can mentor less experienced team members.
The successful individual will be highly analytical with a history of full design and development of new business processes and reports generating a significantly high-profile impact. For this role you will need to be adept in SQL development, and be familiar with R, Python or similar. Experience in using a data visualisation tool such as PowerBI, Tableau etc., is essential for this role. Advanced Excel skills are also essential. This individual will need be a confident communicator to be able to speak to stakeholders at all times.
Job responsibilities:
* Lead the adoption and utilisation of reporting and visualisation by playing key data evangelist role
* Actively challenge business users on report utilisation, chair workshops, showcase latest developments / updates and establish best practice
* Develop a deep understanding of underlying KPIs and the decisions needed to deliver them – you will become the ‘go to’ expert
* Act as a ‘consultant’ to the Marketing team in listening to challenges being faced and working out solutions through data and insights.
* Establish and imbed self-service data analytics to drive efficient development of queries and ad-hoc reporting
* Use SQL to develop and prepare high quality data structures to aid in self-service analytics
