Sales and Revenue Manager

Based in Croydon, London our client is a well-known hotel brand looking for a Sales and Revenue Manager to join their team.

This job would suit an individual who has previous experience in gaining new business and improving revenue, and will be required to ensure maximum revenues are achieved and year-on-year business growth is reached.

This hotel is a single property within a large well-established hotel brand that can provide real long term career prospects and professional development.

The successful individual will have excellent communication skills in order to maintain a close working relationships with other teams. The candidate will be self-motivated, naturally inquisitive and have a commitment to deliver a high level of customer service. They are looking for someone with previous experience within sales and revenue management. There will be a particular focus on sales and driving new business.

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform a minimum of five daily rate checks against the Croydon and London market to ensure the hotel is selling competitively. On a daily basis perform a 30 day check and 90 days once a week
* Use the group Wish, Want, Walk calendar to take groups and chase allocations on a daily basis as required
* To research and visit local areas / companies to establish new business for the hotel and grow the existing corporate client base
* To set up and attend sales meetings with local businesses / clients providing new opportunities
* To monitor specified competitors through regular visits and, where possible secure extra business for the hotel
* Be aware of the hotels top business clientele, their needs and requirements, and where relevant pass details on to the Hotel team
* To submit and review with the General Manager on a weekly basis a formal report on the previous week activities including: secured business, client visits made and telephone call conducted with specific outcomes for each.
* To entertain prospective clients within the hotel in order to demonstrate the facilities of the hotel
* To liaise with the Front Office & Reservations agent regarding secured business, and ensure timely confirmations are sent by the reservations team
* To assist in the preparation of a business development plan for the hotel, and successfully achieve this through gaining contracted business for the hotel
