Senior Software Engineer
Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire our global award-winning business are seeking a Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.
This job would suit someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hands-on development and technical architecture role.
This is a well-established global retail / finance business with a turnover exceeding £1Bn that continues to grow internationally, With a strong UK head office that has an excellent culture and a strong development plan for its staff.
The successful individual will be self-motivated and innovative with the ability to learn new technologies quickly. This person will be able to contribute to solutions design and Code Reviews for the rest of the team. They will be involved in all stages of Software Development Life Cycle including analysis, design and refactoring. For this role the correct candidate will need good time management skills and be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment. Experience in AWS or other cloud services is also desirable.
Desired Qualifications:
* Dependency Injection IOC
* .NET, .NET Core, MVC
* Angular, React experience in single page applications
* Bamboo, Rally/Jira, Octopus, Git
* Entity Framework (or similar ORM)
* NUnit (or similar testing platform ideally TDD)
* Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall management methodologies
* SQL Server 2012 and above
Job responsibilities:
* To contribute to the technical development of one of our global platforms.
* Ensuring technology and platforms are architected and built using established best practices and give a robust foundation to drive products.
* Working with a team of business analysts, developers, testers and product managers and provide technical oversight and direction to your team on the best ways to technically achieve the desired business outcomes.
